Make text stand out anywhere: bold, script, circled, upside down, or as a barcode or QR code.
What this does
Most places you type, like social media posts, chat apps, and email subject lines, do not let you pick a font. This gets around that. Unicode, the big shared alphabet every device understands, has whole extra alphabets tucked inside it: a bold one, a script one, a circled one, and more. This tool swaps your letters for those look-alikes, so the styling travels with the text and shows up wherever you paste it.
Think of it like rubber stamps. Same words, different stamp. Nothing is installed and no font is needed on the other end.
How to use it
- Type or paste your text in the box.
- Pick a style from the dropdown. Each entry is shown in its own style so you can see what you will get.
- Press Convert, or Ctrl+Enter. The result appears below and is copied to your clipboard at the same time.
- Paste it wherever you like. Press Copy again if you need it back on the clipboard later.
Style just part of the text
Highlight a word or a phrase before pressing Convert and only that part is styled. The rest is left exactly as you typed it. This is how you bold one word in a sentence. On a phone, long-press to select, then tap Convert.
The two layout boxes
- Span vertically: every character goes on its own line, so the text reads top to bottom. While this is on, the dropdown only offers the six styles whose characters are all the same width, because the others stack raggedly.
- Space is Column: each word becomes a column and the words sit side by side. Fullwidth and Monospace line up cleanly; other styles may drift a little depending on the app you paste into.
Barcode and QR Code
These two styles make a picture instead of text. Barcode draws a real Code 128 barcode; QR Code draws a real QR code. The picture goes on your clipboard, so you can paste it into a document, a slide, or a label. Download PNG saves it as a file instead.
Type a web address for the QR code and it becomes a tappable link when scanned. If you leave off the https:// part, it is added for you.
Barcodes can only hold plain keyboard characters (letters, digits, and common punctuation). QR codes hold any text up to about 200 characters.
Your privacy
Everything happens inside your browser. Your text is never sent anywhere, and nothing is stored on a server.
Common questions
Why do some letters look plain or show as boxes?
The device you are looking at has to have a font that includes those characters. Nearly all modern phones and computers do. A very old device may show a box for a few of the fancier styles, like Script or Double-struck.
Will screen readers read it correctly?
Not always. Some screen readers spell out styled characters one at a time, or skip them. Use the styles for emphasis, not for the whole message.
Why does Strikethrough look odd in some apps?
The strike is a tiny mark drawn over each letter. Some apps draw it a little low or a little thin. It is still the same text and will paste correctly.
Some letters are missing in Squared or Negative circled. Why?
Those alphabets only exist in capitals, so lowercase letters are shown as capitals. Digits are missing from the squared styles because Unicode never added them.
The image did not copy. What now?
A few browsers, and most on iPhone, will not put a picture on the clipboard from a web page. Press Download PNG and use the file instead.
Can I use this offline?
Yes. Once the page has loaded, it keeps working without a connection.
Is there a Windows version?
Yes. The desktop Noticeable Text at the-Automator.com does the same job on your PC with a hotkey and no browser involved.
